Nordic Tax Aid Webinar
Welcome to participate at a Nordic Tax Aid Webinar 9th December, 14-15.30 (Finnish time). It is organised by a group of Nordic civil society organisations, including Fingo from Finland.
The webinar will take stock of the Addis Tax Initiative (ATI) with a specific focus on the contribution of the Nordic countries. It will explore the potential for cooperation and joint work based on renewed ATI-commitments and with a view to strengthening DRM-support more broadly working closely with developing partner countries.
It is expected that the Addis Tax Initiative will be renewed by partners at the General Assembly in November 2020, though the monitoring framework will probably not be in place. The webinar will explore how the Nordic countries can contribute to establishing a strong monitoring system that not only track progress on the amount of aid for DRM, but also tracks the quality of aid to DRM, including how the Addis Tax Initiative can contribute to reduce inequalities and address national and international constraints to mobilise more tax revenues.
